It's the most wonderful time of the year!
· Every year, the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program collects and distributes toys and clothing to disadvantaged children whose families cannot afford gifts during the holidays. This year up to 4,000 children from 1,800 families are expected to register for the program in Baltimore alone. To support the program, for the past 8 years, Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU) has coordinated hundreds of volunteers to help sort, package and prepare the gifts for families to pick up just before the holidays.
Your support of our favorite annual volunteer event is greatly appreciated!
1. BRING A DONATION: While participation in Elf Night is free, please consider a toy or a piece of clothing as your ticket for the night! BVU's elves are an essential part of meeting The Salvation Army's last-minute donation needs. (Biggest needs are toys for boys/girls ages 10-12, shoes for all ages, and coats/warm clothing for children ages 10-12.)
2. PRINT & BRING YOUR TICKET to hand in at the door (in lieu of registration).
3. DRESS FESTIVELY & READY TO WORK! Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes are a must.

Elf-tastic news! Registration will open for all volunteer elves on Monday, November 26th at 12:00 pm! Space for elves fills up quickly!
Are the tickets for your Elf Night of choice all "sold out"? Well, there's no such thing as a sad elf, so perk up! Volunteer elves are needed around the clock at The Salvation Army's warehouse so sign up for another shift today by emailing Peggy Vick at peggy_vick@uss.salvationarmy.org. Volunteer shifts are available Monday-Saturday from December 3rd - December 20th. On weekdays volunteer for a 10 am-1 pm shift or a 2 pm - 5 pm. On Saturday, December 15th volunteer from 9 am - 12 pm. Weekday evening volunteer opportunities are available as well!
